This Privacy Policy explains how DearKind Walk ("DearKind", "we", "us") handles personal information when you use dearkindpets.com, app.dearkindpets.com and the DearKind Walk service.
1. Information we collect
Depending on how you use the service, we may collect:
- account details such as your email address and authentication information;
- dog profile information you choose to provide, including name, age, breed and training answers;
- training activity, session feedback, progress, readiness and Rescue Route selections;
- purchase and transaction metadata needed to confirm access to the program;
- technical information such as browser, device, IP-related security information and service logs;
- messages you send to support.
2. Payment information
Payments for the currently available offer are processed through Stripe. DearKind does not need to receive or store your full payment-card number. The applicable payment provider may process billing, tax, fraud-prevention and transaction information under its own privacy terms.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- create and secure your account;
- generate and personalize Walk Profiles and training guidance;
- save progress across dogs and sessions;
- confirm purchases and provide paid access;
- send essential authentication, account and service communications;
- prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors and improve reliability;
- respond to support, refund and privacy requests;
- comply with applicable legal obligations.
4. Service providers
We use specialist providers to operate DearKind Walk. These may include Stripe for checkout and payment processing, Supabase for authentication and application data, Resend for transactional email, Hostinger for hosting and infrastructure, Google Analytics for usage analytics and consent-mode measurement, Microsoft Clarity for interaction analytics, heatmaps and session-replay diagnostics where enabled, and Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API for advertising measurement and campaign attribution where enabled. Providers process information only as needed to perform their services and under their applicable terms.
5. Cookies, local storage, analytics and advertising measurement
DearKind uses essential cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, maintain security, remember product preferences and preserve information needed for the Walk Profile and checkout flow. Privacy defaults vary by region. In regions that require prior opt-in for non-essential technologies, optional analytics and advertising storage remain off until you choose them. Google Analytics may load in Consent Mode with storage denied and send cookieless measurement signals. In the United States, analytics and advertising measurement may be active by default where permitted, with clear opt-out controls. We honor supported browser privacy signals such as Global Privacy Control for advertising measurement. Microsoft Clarity is tied to the Analytics choice, while Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API are tied to Advertising measurement. We do not intentionally send names, email addresses or dog names as tracking event parameters. You can review or change your choices at any time below.
6. Retention
We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate your account, provide the program, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and meet legal or financial obligations. Some transaction records may need to be retained after an account or dog profile is deleted.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection to certain uses of your personal information. You can edit or delete individual dog profiles inside the app. For account-level privacy requests, contact us at account@dearkindpets.com.
8. International processing
Our providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, appropriate legal safeguards are used for international transfers. Mandatory privacy rights in your jurisdiction are not waived by this Policy.
9. Children
DearKind Walk is intended to be purchased and managed by adults. We do not knowingly ask children to create paid accounts or provide payment information.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect account and application data. No online system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so users should also protect their passwords and devices.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the service or legal requirements change. The updated date at the top of this page shows when the current version took effect.
